Terms & Conditions

• Membership: Posting is restricted to active members of the Roanoke Valley Amateur Radio Club and licensed amateur radio operators within the local region.
• Callsigns: All listings must include a valid FCC callsign. Anonymous postings will not be allowed.
• Commercial Use: This board is for private, individual sales only. Commercial dealers or “estate flippers” are prohibited unless they have expressed written consent from the Club Board.

Listing Standards

• Accuracy: Sellers must provide a truthful description of the equipment’s condition. If an item is “For Parts/Repair Only,” it must be clearly labeled as such.
• Pricing: All “For Sale” ads must include a specific asking price. “Best Offer” listings are permitted, but a starting baseline is encouraged.
• Prohibited Items: No sales of non-radio-related items, illegal signal boosters, or equipment modified to operate outside of authorized amateur bands in violation of FCC Part 15 or 97.

Transaction & Safety

• Private Treaty: All transactions are “Private Treaty” sales between the buyer and seller. RVARC does not act as an agent, broker, or escrow service.
• “As-Is” Status: Unless otherwise stated by the seller, all equipment is assumed to be sold As-Is, Where-Is, with no implied warranty or return policy from the Club.
• Safety First: For high-value swaps, we recommend meeting at the RVARC monthly meeting or a well-lit public location. Never send “Friends & Family” digital payments to sellers you have not met in person.

Administrative Rights

• Moderation: The Webmaster and Club Officers reserve the right to edit, categorize, or remove any listing that is deemed inappropriate, incomplete, or suspicious.
• Expiration: Listings will remain active for 60 days. After this period, they will be purged to keep the list current. Please notify the Webmaster if your item sells before the expiration date.

Liability Disclaimer

The Roanoke Valley Amateur Radio Club provides this trading platform as a community service. The Club, its Officers, and the Webmaster assume no responsibility for the condition of the equipment, the accuracy of the listings, or any financial loss resulting from a transaction. Users participate at their own risk.
