Past
Hamvention: Marty was overwhelmed. Got a radio for a door prise for our hamfest, same as last year.
Robert discussed using online radio receivers. New version: the Gateway, supports 15 SDRs. Today he launched an extension that will run on Edge or Chrome. Get more at hams.live and hams.live/tgl for the extension. Contact him if you have any questions.
Upcoming
July 12 USA Cycling Endurance Mountain Bike Nat’l Championships. They would like us to come back. Take track of the racers as they pass the checkpoints. Set up the same 3 stations. Main, red barn, Carvin’s cove parking lot.
Field Day June 27-28 at Lot 14, Virginia Western. There will be a VE session at 10:00 on Saturday. Marty will bring the Red Cross trailer and a generator. We will need band pass filters. Linda will bring the band back.
August 1 Roanoke Hamfest—The venue will be at the Roanoke Fire and EMS training center at 802 River Avenue SE.

W4CA website and social media (Linda): The website has a new page—the Trading Post, for listing radio equipment for sale, or wanted.
Next Meeting With Eating–Golden Corral, 1441 Town Square Blvd, Roanoke on June 13, 8:30 AM in the main room. Bring family and friends for socialization.

2026 Program Meeting Topics.
October 17-19 JOTA Dave will look into getting involved with the Blue Ridge Mountain Council. There can be 2 merit badge sessions. Also GoFest is the same weekend. Maybe we can organized both together.
September: Floyd has a preparedness summit. The Red Cross will be involved, partner with FARS—Floyd amateur radio society.
