Treasurer’s Report
Doug Kabler N4MGW gave the summary of current financial status. Balance on June 30, $13005.27. Blue Host, Auction costs, Grand prize payment, Post office box payments totaled #1830.23

Event Reports
Past
Field Day June 27-28 at Lot 14, Virginia Western. There was a VE session on Saturday with 4 new or extending hams. We made 48 contacts on 40 meters, 26 contacts on 20 meters, 2 contacts on phone and 17 cm.
103 total contacts.
Potluck was a deterrent. We need to offer dinner at future field days.
Upcoming
July 12 USA Cycling Endurance Mountain Bike Nat’l Championships at Hollins Univ/Carvin’s Cove/Red Barn. Track the racers as they pass the checkpoints. Set up stations: Main, red barn, Carvin’s cove parking lot. We have 6 volunteers–2 for each station.
August 1 Roanoke Hamfest—The venue will be at the Roanoke Fire and EMS training center at 802 River Avenue SE. We have tables to rent inside, and also spaces for the outside flea market.
Sept 13 Blue Ridge Bonanza: Go up on the Parkway, set up and make contacts. This is one activity that RVARC has QSO cards for. It is on the ARRL calendar.
September 19: Floyd has a preparedness summit. The Red Cross will be involved, partner with FARS—Floyd amateur radio society.
October 16-18 Roanoke GO Fest: We will look into participating with the Red Cross.

ARES: Request: Put a blurb on the FB page and the website on the Tuesday night net.
VE: Session tomorrow at VT, one candidate.
W4CA website and social media (Linda): The website has a new addition on the home page for digital paying of memberships, joining the club, and donations Remember The Trading Post, for listing radio equipment for sale, or wanted.
Next Meeting With Eating–Golden Corral, 1441 Town Square Blvd, Roanoke on July 11, 8:30 AM in the main room. Bring family and friends for socialization.
Scott Fisher AK4DV relinquished administrator of the FB page. Ben Williams KK4EWT volunteered to be the administrator.
Current Business
Banner: The old banner was found. Should we still make a new one? 3×8 suggested. Those present agreed. Linda will get one ordered.
New Business
DX Commander Motion Cathy 2nd Linda Purchase the DX Commande and an extra pole.
Program person can’t come. Tom will give a presentation on July 24 on an introduction to Winlink. Then he and Pat will have a program meeting on August 29 for people to bring their radios in to the Red Cross and get them connected to Winlink.
