Program Meeting, January 26, 2018 
Roanoke Valley American Red Cross, 352 Church Ave SW, Roanoke, VA

Meeting called to order by Anthony Brooks WM3T at 7:03pm. 
Members stood for Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence to remember silent keys and others with health and welfare issues. 
Members introduced themselves by name and call sign and what their primary interest in amateur radio.

This is our second meeting of the month, which is our program meeting.

Traffic

Fred Krack NS4TT made a motion to get a $100 gift card for Diane Crampton in appreciation for providing her place in the past and currently for Winter Field Day. Seconded by Floyd Ponton AI4FP. Motion passed unanimously.

Fred Krack NS4TT reminded the club that Winter Field Day is tomorrow. We will be operating 2pm until 2pm on Sunday. We will be either 2O or 3O and using the club call of W4CA.

Gene Krumnacher K4TSU, former member of RVARC, is now Silent Key. His obituary was in today's Roanoke Times and will be attached to these minutes.

Chris Bateson NZ6T announced that we are looking at starting to have non-business breakfast meetings on the first and third weeks of each month. Responses were positive.

Wally Denison WD1U announced the dates for the School Club Roundup. It will be February 12-16.

Wally Denison WD1U announced that FrostFest is February 3 in Richmond at the Raceway Complex. This will be the Virginia conference of the ARRL.

Program

Adam Cheslow KM4BQN presented on Amateur Radio Satellites. Thank you for a great presentation on getting started making satellite contacts. 

50/50 ticket— —Total amount $40.00. Wally Denison WD1U had the winning ticket. $20.00 donated to the Crampton gift card.
